FAQ

Parents know their children best and should ultimately trust their instincts. If your child is behind on their gross motor skills, clumsy, falling frequently, or not keeping up with their peers, they would likely benefit from physical therapy services. Reach out for a free phone consultation if you are unsure.

Pediatricians have good intentions, but often don’t see the full picture of how kids are developing, especially with gross motor skills, because your child only sees them periodically and within the confines of a small room. If you have concerns, advocate for your child, and know that you do not need a referral to see a physical therapist in California.

Sometimes kiddos are on their own trajectory with milestone achievement, but sometimes there are other factors at play that can delay development.  A pediatric therapist is a specialist in gross motor development and will be able to determine if your child needs more time or a little help reaching their potential. Studies have consistently shown that the earlier the intervention begins, the better the outcome.
